Home Information Packs
The Home Information Pack (HIP) was introduced by the current government as a way to simplify and speed up the process of buying and selling property in England and Wales. A home seller putting a property up for sale (with three or more bedrooms) from 14 December 2007 will have to commission a HIP and make it available to to prospective home buyers so that they have more information at the beginning of the sales process.
